Hello everyone:
I'll be visiting Portland, OR next month where the very wonderful,
Maiden1974 (Melanie) has offered to play host and driver for a
couple of day of boxing.
Also in February, Bindle Bum and I will be going to Florida for 10
days. So, I'm kind of trying out ideas for some kind of "traveled
to here" stamp that I could carve and bring with me and then to
FLA.
There are no where near the number of boxes in FLA as in OR so I was
thinking of leaving it there (along with the other two I have ready
to go!) as a box plant to help boost the FLA numbers. I still
haven't found anyone local who would be willing to keep an eye on
any boxes that I plant down there though, so that is a concern.
Anyone have ideas on the "traveled to here" concept? Has anyone else
ever done something along this line?
Enjoy!

I am traveling to Miami on monday and I have a box ready to be planted.
There are none for me to find in the area, so I decided to start
something. I also am concerned that there is no one to tend to the
boxes needs, so I have just decided to plant it and rely on the good
will of fellow boxers to do any maintanence required. Even if the box
goes missing...
it's better to have planted and lost than to never have planted at
all...

Not quite NONE. There are two on Key Biscayne! And if you have time to
come farther north, we have several in the Fort Lauderdale area. Mine seem to
be disappearing fast, but there are still some here!
And I always try to do any necessary maintainence when I see a need in a
box I find. So plant away!
